Samantha Pockele
Registered Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor, CRPO
Samantha Pockele is a Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field. Her work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the ways people learn to survive overwhelming experiences.
At The Niagara Centre for Healing and Recovery, Samantha works with individuals navigating complex trauma, dissociation, sexual compulsivity, shame, and relational wounds. As she continues to develop her practice in these specialized areas, she offers a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing approach that understands symptoms and protective patterns within the context of a person’s experiences and story.

My Approach
Samantha brings an integrative and highly individualized approach to therapy, drawing from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches. Rather than relying on a single model, she thoughtfully adapts therapy to the needs, history, capacity, and goals of each person she works with.
A particular strength of Samantha’s work is her ability to hold complexity. Her background working with neurodivergence, identity, emotional regulation, and diverse lived experiences informs a nuanced understanding of how people experience and make sense of themselves. She is attentive to the ways trauma can intersect with attachment, sexuality, shame, identity, relationships, and the nervous system — particularly when a client’s experience does not fit neatly into a diagnostic category.
Samantha’s therapeutic style is engaged, collaborative, and deeply human. She brings warmth, curiosity, humour, and authenticity into the therapy room while also being willing to gently challenge patterns that are no longer serving the client. Her goal is to create a relationship where difficult material can be approached with honesty and compassion, allowing clients to develop greater insight, agency, and capacity for meaningful change.
